The goal of this website is to preserve Darrtown-related history. While this "water tragedies" section contains sad and unfortunate information, the events reported in this section are an undeniable part of Darrtown's past. The idea for this page occurred In December 2020, when a few individuals mentioned that they recalled drowning incidents at Four Mile Creek, near Darrtown.
Research, into the topic of drownings at or near Darrtown, resulted in the discovery of the following newspaper items and the creation of the anecdotal records.
