APRIL 3, 2011: St. Matthew Lutheran Church broke ground for the addition of a 3,000 square-foot fellowship hall.
APRIL 4, 1814: Darrtown was officially christened, when Conrad Darr recorded the platting of the village, in the Butler County courthouse.
APRIL 11, 1914: First entry recorded in the K.U.W.L. club journal.
APRIL 11, 1935: The Semper Fidelis Club met at the Darrtown Lutheran Church and then traveled to the Darrtown Methodist Church for Lenten service.
APRIL 12, 1891: Nell Davis was born in the original toll house that was located at the intersection of St. Rt. 177 and St. Rt. 73.
APRIL 17, 1869: Charles Otto became the owner of the Hitching Post.
APRIL 17, 1930: A Darrtown area woman died in a Darrtown Pike house fire, north of Davis Corner.
APRIL 30, 2014: A collection of the L. A. Miller diaries arrived back in Ohio, after a 17-year sojourn in Colorado.

When this robbery story was first reported, in the Hamilton (Ohio) Journal, the article carried over to a second page. Unfortunately, this website did not have the second page ... until ... late February, 2023, when Dan Schneider of Hamilton, Ohio contributed the missing part.
...that last month's newsletter, featured the two-story, brick building (located on Lot 90) at the intersection of Shollenbarger Road and Walnut Street. Records at the Butler County Recorder's office, enable us to identify previous owners of that property.
This is one in a series of questions designed to keep alive the memory of Darrtown people. Even if you never knew the individual who is the object of the question, you may learn some Darrtown history by playing.
