Howard Nichol Kramer (1891-1990), grandson of Darrtown pioneer, George Kramer, grew up on a farm about three miles north of Darrtown.
Howard Nichol Kramer (1891-1990) became an educator at Oxford and had an elementary school named in his honor.
Jacob Manrod (born 1850) was the son of Darrtown pioneer Jacob Manrod (1806-1891) who farmed near Lanes Mill, southwest of Darrtown.
Jacob Manrod (born 1850) became a Deputy Marshal at Oxford, which led to his being shot during the 1903 Oxford riot.
