FAMILIES M-P: MILLER LA ~ Lewis A. Miller
Lewis A. Miller (aka "L.A." MIller)
Webmaster notes:
(1) From the press clipping (at the left) it appears that Mr. L. A. Miller was the Superintendent of the Darrtown schools in 1901.
(2) The final sentence of this article refers to this Butler County teachers' "protective association" movement being "extended all over Ohio," which suggests that the movement may have been the start of a statewide teachers' organization. However, the history of the Ohio Education Association reports that (54 years earlier) in 1847, a group of teachers met in northeastern Ohio's Summit County and established the Ohio State Teachers' Association.
