Anna Marie (Lenhart) Keck

(1807-1896)

Samuel Kech and his wife, Anna Marie Keck, are both designated as Darrtown Pioneers, because records at Ancestry.com show that Samuel and Anna Marie were the first members of the Keck family to reside in Milford Township, near Darrtown.

RIGHT:

As shown on this 1875 map of Milford Township, the Samuel Keck farm was located north of Darrtown on the west side of Darrtown Pike.

Notice that the farm does not have any road frontage.

So, how was the Keck farm accessed?

Presumably, that question is  answered by the following image and its caption.

BELOW: Three generations of the Samuel Keck family are depicted as a branch of the Darrtown Family Tree. To see this in full size, contact the Webmaster and request access to the Darrtown Family Tree at Ancestry.com.

The following graphic provides more information about the Samuel and Ann Keck family that is illustrated above.

As of mid-January 2021, a limited amount of information about the Keck family has surfaced.

If, and when, more info is acquired, it will be added to this section.

Location of Keck farm

ABOVE: There is a lane (designated by the broken arrow) on the north side of the first large barn north of Darrtown. That lane, most likely, provided access to the Keck property. Note the info that appears in the quotation (at the right) from the Schultz family page of this website.

"At one time, the Jacob and Rose Guiler family lived on a farm located at the northwest corner of Darrtown. That farm, which Jacob and Rose referred to as the "McKee" farm, was accessible from a lane that ran along the north side the barn that sits on the property owned by Kirk Mee I and II. The lane, from Rt. 177 to the farm buildings, ran west for about 400 yards and then turned north for approximately 200 yards."
