Earl and Blanche Stang purchased the farm at 3905 Hamilton-Richmond Road, Hamilton, Ohio in March 1947 from Denny Robinette. Mr. Robinette retained a portion of the property that bordered the Four Mile Creek, where he owned and operated a bar in one of several structures that stood in the former Frank Bufler camping site.
Earl Stang died in 1981 and Blanche Stang died in 1999.
Following the death of Blanche, Eddie (Rock) and Patty Stang purchased the farm in 2000.

"Edward A. Menke (father of Blanche Menke Stang) died June 1980, while still living on the farm.
Edward B. Menke (brother of Blanche Menke Stang) lived on the farm until about 1951, then moved to Hamilton. He died in 2010.
We are related the Edward William Menke family in Darrtown - a nephew of Edward A. Menke.
The Dawn King family (Dawn is the daughter of Eddie & Patty Stang) now lives on the original home farm. A new house was built and the old one was taken down September 2014.
Stang family members have farmed the land, since the Earl and Blanche Stang family moved there in 1947."

Edward J. "Rock" Stang, age 70 of Darrtown, OH passed away at residence on Friday, October 19, 2018. Rock was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 6, 1948 to Earl H. Stang and Blanche E. (Menke) Stang. Rock was a 1966 graduate of Talawanda High School, where he enjoyed playing football. He has lived in Darrtown all his life and has worked the family farm for over 52 years. He always enjoyed farming, tractor pulls (especially Farmall’s and International Harvestor tractors), going to Miami’s hockey games, and spending time with his family and friends. He has always been so proud of his grandchildren (Kaitlyn and Owen) and supported them in their sports and activities.
Rock is survived by his wife, Patty Stang; daughter, Dawn "Scotty" King; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn King and Owen King; siblings, Julia A. "Snookie" (John) Kruse and Earl L. "Junie" (Sharon) Stang; three nephews, Andy Stang, Randy Stang, and Casey Stang; one niece, Christy Stang; mother in law, Jeanne Jones; brother and sister in laws, Gary (Georgia) Jones and Pam (Allen) Lakes; and many other family and friends. Rock was preceded in death by his parents, Earl H. Stang and Blanche E. Stang; and grandfather, Edward "Doc" Menke.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Pastor John Witt officiating. Burial will follow at Darrtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. The family would like to invite everyone to the Collinsville Community Center, 5113 Huston Road, Collinsville, OH 45004, for a luncheon immediately following the graveside services at Darrtown Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Milford Township Fire Department.
