"LUIMA AND CARRIE BOWERS CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Bowers, Collinsville, will observe their golden wedding anniversary October 28.

Mr. Bowers and the former Carrie Weiss were married October 28, 1914 in the Lutheran Church, Oxford. They have been lifelong residents of Butler County, where Mr. Bowers was engaged in farming and threshing, until his retirement several years ago.

They have four children, Mrs. Arthur (Ruth) Schuster, Scott Road, Oxford; Mrs. Donald (Luella) Irwin of the Virgin Islands; William Bowers, Eaton; and Donald Bowers, Jeffersonville, Ohio. Six grandchildren and one great-grandson complete the family circle.

A family get-together will be held on Sunday, November 1; however, no formal celebration is planned, because of Mr. Bower’s health."
