Dorothy Jane (Glardon) Beckett is the Darrtown Pioneer of the Beckett family branch of the Darrtown Family Tree.

As shown in the image at the right, Dorothy was the daughter of Darrtown residents, Ellis and Ethel (Tuley) Glardon.

Ellis and Ethel operated the Glardon Grocery in Darrtown, during the early 1950's (see more Glardon history at the Glardon family page).

The Glardons (Ellis, Ethel, and Dorothy) lived in the center of Darrtown, in the same building as the Glardon grocery store.

After growing up in Darrtown, Dorothy Glardon married Donald H. Beckett of Hanover Township, Butler county, Ohio (see the obituary of Donald H. Beckett below).

Don and Dorothy Beckett had two sons, Donald Jr. and Darrell, and one daughter, Diana.

Donald Jr., after graduating from Talawanda High School, took over his grandparents' grocery store in Darrtown and renamed the business as Don's Carry Out.

See Dorothy J. (Glardon) Beckett's obituary here.
