Committee seeks burial sites of general's associates
As explained in the article below, prior to General Washington's 200th birthday, on February 22, 1932, the Research Committee of the George Washington Bicentennial Committee of Oxford, Ohio, headed by Mrs. Mary M. Hughes, was actively attempting to identify the burial sites of persons in the Butler County area who had been associates of General George Washington.
