SECOND ROW - standing: Harold Shaw, unidentified male , Paul Krebs, EITHER Earl Charles Joseph Zuber or his brother, Richard Napolean Zuber, Unidentified Teacher, and Glen Ward
THIRD ROW - standing: Robert Harris, Andrew Popst, ____ Myers, and unidentified male
Webmaster Note: Paul Krebs (third row, third from the left) was identified on January 17, 2016, when Sibyl Harris emailed the following message: "The Krebs boy is, I believe, Paul Krebs. He is my father's cousin. My father is that darling little schnickelfritz, Robert Harris, in the upper left of this photo. His mother, my grandmother, Nelle Louella (Krebs) Harris, spoke a significant amount of German around the farmhouse, on the "home place" on Scott Rd."
LEFT: An unidentified person wrote names on this photo. Only two students are identified by both first and last names (Dorothy Grau and Ilena Pierson). Research indicates that Ilena Pierson is actually "Glenna Isbella" Pierson.
“G. Bradbury” was likely Gustabel Bradbury of the Bradbury family that lived on Scott Road.
From the brick design and the entry way, it seems likely that this photo was taken at the Darrtown school.
√
RIGHT: Some of the students who appear in this photo also appear in the photo above. It seems likely that these two images were taken on the same day, as several of the students appear to be wearing the same attire in both photos.
The inclusion of the other (younger?) students in this photo may stem from the fact that teachers often taught combined grade levels.
Again, the teacher is recognized as Miss Marie Miller.
This photo was taken at the Darrtown school.
ABOVE: There are 33 students in this 1929-1930 photo. Given the age-span shown in the DOB column, it seems likely that this photo includes three grade levels.
Collinsville teachers regularly instructed more than one grade level, in one classroom. The two-grades per classroom arrangement continued, into the 1950s at Collinsville School.
