Sam and Grace (Nixon) Myers are the first-known Myers family members to live in the Darrtown area (research may change this status - see below).
The Sam and Grace Myers farm was located about 2.5 miles south of Darrtown, on Nichols Road - which is in Hanover Township. The Myers farm was previously owned by Grace's father, Charles Nixon.
The Myers family socialized with members of the Happy Valley community - which linked them to Darrtown.
As shown in the image at the right, the Myers family branch of the Darrtown Family Tree currently (Feb. 2020) includes five generations.
Research is being conducted to verify the first Myers family members to live in the Darrtown area. At this time, it appears that the parents of Sam E. Myers may be designated as Darrtown pioneers for the Myers family.
