Thanks to the support of some 50-60 people who attended the Darrtown Social and Pitch Tournament on Saturday, August 24, the Bicentennial Fund netted a $600 profit.
Participants enjoyed good food, drink, talk, and music. Charlie Kennel again performed his magic at the grill and the West Street Boys (from Darrtown) provided some toe-tapping and hand-clapping rhythms. Sally Hansel won “Split the Pot” and took home $100. Ralph Martin won two Pitch sessions and Don Beckett won the third.
As they left the premises, many people remarked that they had a good time. All in all, the occasion provided another example of Darrtown fellowship.
