On this twelfth day of June, 2021, an informal "passing of the torch" occurred, as Ron Wiley, former paver project manager, helped John Newman, the new paver project manager, learn the finer points of installing new pavers in the park.

John Newman and Ann (Brosius) Foust appear above. Ann oversaw the installation of four pavers. Her four inscriptions read as follows:

Beverly (Blakely) Foutz and her husband, Phil, are seen above, shortly after John Newman tamped in the two pavers that they purchased. Their paver inscriptions read as follows:

The occasion of installing new pavers was prompted, after John received orders for six new pavers. John placed the orders with the engraving company, which is located in Cincinnati. Upon being notified that the engraving was complete, John drove to the factory, picked them up, and brought them home, to Darrtown.

Today was the day that the newly engraved pavers were placed in the park.

BELOW: Among those present for the installation of new pavers were five members of the 2014 Bicentennial Committee and they marked the occasion by gathering for a photo next to the veterans memorial.

"To celebrate National Grange month in April, we decided to purchase 2 pavers for the Milford Twp. Veteran's Memorial Park. Also, a great way to leave our mark as a Century Organization in the Township. We also will be donating a new flag for this beautiful park."
