The 50th anniversary issue of the Hamilton Journal News, published in 1936, included information about Darrtown.

Some features of that special edition appear below, thanks to a contribution from several individuals.

The original newspaper items that appear below, were saved by Harry Bown, the father of Dee Hansel, who is married to Richard Hansel. Dee and Richard shared these items with Marvin Russell, who made copies and passed them on to the Darrtown webmaster.

Darrtown history was included in the 50th anniversary edition of the Hamilton Journal.
