NEWSPAPER ITEM PROMPTS RESEARCH:  As noted on the Robert Zimmerman page, an 1898 newspaper article reports that Robert wrote to "Daisy Jones of Darrtown," addressed Daisy as "Dear Sister,' and asked that she (Daisy) "tell mother" that he (Robert) was doing fine.

RESEARCH RESULTS: A variety of records are displayed below; all of which indicate that Daisy Jones was born DAISY BAKE, who married Arthur Jones - both of whom were residents of Indiana (near the village of College Corner that straddles the Indiana and Ohio state line; however, no records have been found to verify that either Daisy or Arthur had a direct connection to Darrtown or Robert Zimmerman.

NEWSPAPER ERROR ASSUMED: It appears that the person or persons who wrote the 1898 news article about "Daisy Jones of Darrtown" erred. The Hannah Daisy Zimmerman section of the Robert Zimmerman page clarifies that Robert had a sister named Hannah DAISY Zimmerman. She is likely the person to whom Robert addressed his letter of 1898.
