1944 NEWSPAPER CLIPPING RAISES QUESTION ABOUT RECORD OF HITCHING POST OWNERSHIP

Records show that Earl Huber bought the Hitching Post from Pauline and Wm. Wiley in 1949. Yet, the image below (discovered in Sept. 2020) shows that Earl sought a beer license in the name of the Hitching Post in 1944.

More research is warranted; if and when this discrepancy is resolved, the answer will be posted here.
