This page is a spin-off of the news item about a judge's order that closed Denny Robinette's tavern on the Hamilton Richmond Road, which was located about one mile south of the center of Darrtown.
The addition of this page occurred after Darrtown resident Phil Allen contributed the following photo. Phil explained that his connection to Denny Robinette, and this photo, was through a great-aunt, who was married to Denny at one time. The photo was taken on his aunt's farm, which was located at the top of the Eaton Road hill, north of Hamilton, on the east side of the road. The Kuykendoll family lived there during the 1950s.

DENNY'S
PLACE
4TH AND MAPLE - HAMILTON, O.
The sign on the side of the car reads...
The Hamilton address (4th and Maple) is known by local historians as the address of the notorius Grand Hotel. So, how could the address for Denny's Place be the same?
This is the likely explanation: Memories of Hamiltonians (see the Facebook comments below) place the Grand Hotel on the southwest corner of the 4th and Maple intersection. So, it may be that Denny's Place was located on one of the other three corners of that intersection.
Since the previously mentioned court order "permanently enjoined Dennis Robinetter ... from ever engaging in the sale of any kind of intoxicants in Butler County," it seems logical to conclude that Denny Robinette operated Denny's Place in Hamilton, before he operated the tavern alongside the Four Mile Creek off Darrtown Pike.
