At that point, the committee resorted to the old, common-sense, tried and tested method for getting things done ... which, as most people know, is ... to "ask a guy, ...who knows a guy, ...who knows some other guys."

And that's how it came about; committee member Joe Pater asked Bill Keebler and Bill asked some of his friends and they asked some of their friends and pretty soon ... the Blue River Long Rifle group was scheduled to create a replica of a pioneer village in E-Dot Park, during the 2014 Darrtown Bicentennial.

The result of that "friends-asking-friends" approach is illustrated in the following slide show.

The Bicentennial Steering Committee thought it fitting that the celebration of Conrad Darr's creation of Darr's Town include a tribute to pioneer life in the early 1800's. The question then became, "Who knows how to do that?"

All slide shows play automatically; however, some may take a 5-10 seconds to load. You may control the slide show, by placing your cursor on the screen to pause/scroll or use arrows at the either side of the screen to see slides at the left or right. Most individual slides enlarge, when you click them.
